Francisco Diaz, Beatriz Nuñez, and Their Two Daughters Dead after Thornton Car Accident

 
THORNTON, CO (November 7, 2024) — Francisco Diaz, Beatriz Nuñez, and their two daughters died in a car accident on Saturday, October 26.
 
According to the Thornton Police Department, the accident happened at the intersection of Thornton Parkway and Washington Street at about 8:00 p.m.
 
Police said a Subaru sedan traveled northbound on Washington Street at a high rate of speed. Then it hit a Ford SUV occupied by Diaz, his wife, and daughters.
 
The impact of the collision caused the Ford to catch fire. The family got trapped inside and all of them died at the scene.
 
Meanwhile, first responders brought the driver of the Subaru to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
 
A GoFundMe revealed the names of the four deceased victims. They identified the parents as Francisco Diaz, Beatriz Nuñez — and their daughters — 15-year-old Paola and 10-year-old Nataly. They leave behind 22-year-old Daniel Diaz and 20-year-old Adam Diaz.
 
Authorities closed the intersection for several hours. They reopened the road at about 12:30 a.m. Sunday.
