Five People Hospitalized after Phoenix Car Accident on 59th Avenue
PHOENIX, AZ (September 22, 2023) — Five people, including a child, had injuries after a car crash on 59th Avenue on Saturday, September 2.
According to the Phoenix Fire Department, their crews responded to calls of a two-car crash near 59th Avenue and Thomas Road at around 4:45 p.m.
When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered five victims with sustained injuries. They extricated one of them from the vehicle.
Authorities said there were two women in their 20s, a woman in her 40s, and a woman in her 60s. All of them are in critical condition. Meanwhile, the female child is in stable condition. Paramedics transported all five of them to the hospital.
Phoenix Police closed the intersection of Thomas Road and 59th Avenue as they investigated the accident. It has since reopened.
