Doreen Letson Rescued in Multi-Vehicle Crash on 17 Freeway at Highway 101 in Phoenix

 
PHOENIX, AZ (September 22, 2023) – Officers identified Doreen Letson of Prescott who suffered injuries along with her dog in a crash on 17 Freeway on September 13.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened near Loop 101. Based on a report, Letson was driving on the freeway when she got involved in a multi-car crash.
 
Officers said that Good Samaritans, Phil McAlister and Kristy McAlister, saw what happened and immediately pulled over to help Letson and her dog, Bubbles.
 
As a result, Letson suffered a fractured sternum. Paramedics transported her to a nearby hospital for treatment. The McAlisters then rushed Bubbles to a veterinarian emergency room for extensive brain swelling.
 
It was not clear if there were other parties who were hurt in the crash.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
