Injuries Sustained in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 2 in Chelan County
CHELAN COUNTY, WA (October 3, 2022) – Paramedics transported four people to the hospital following a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 2 on September 24.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened 2 near milepost 95, about 4 and a half miles from Leavenworth.
Based on a report, a car was driving eastbound on the highway when the driver miscalculated a turn and crossed the center line. Subsequently, it hit a second car traveling westbound. The second car spun into the eastbound lane and two motorcycles struck it.
As a result, the drivers and passengers of the two motorcycles suffered injuries in the incident. One received serious leg injuries and had to be airlifted to the hospital. Paramedics transported the other victims to the hospital by ambulance.
Troopers do not believe speeding was involved. As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
