Fernando Enriquez Jr. Identified in Fatal Las Vegas Crash
LAS VEGAS, NV (August 12, 2024) – Authorities identified 30-year-old Fernando Enriquez Jr. of Las Vegas who died in a crash on Lake Mead Boulevard on July 28.
According to the Nevada State Police, the collision happened over the Highway 95 overpass just before 1:30 PM. Based on a report, Enriquez was driving a 2004 Toyota Camry at a high rate of speed on the northbound off-ramp before the crash.
He hit a concrete barrier wall when he failed to negotiate a curve. The impact caused the Toyota to overturn, partially ejecting Enriquez while the car continued moving, hitting a 2011 Ford Explorer and a 2017 Dodge Ram pickup.
As a result, Enriquez suffered grave injuries and died at the scene.
Emergency crews transported the driver of the Dodge to a hospital for a minor injury as a precaution. The driver of the Ford was not hurt in the crash.
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
