Felicita Sola Hospitalized after Hit-and-Run in Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS, NV (November 7, 2024) — A 74-year-old woman, Felicita Sola, sustained injuries in a hit-and-run on Monday, October 28.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the incident occurred at the intersection of Vegas Valley Drive and Mountain Vista Street.
LVMPD said a vehicle struck Sola as she tried to cross the intersection in broad daylight. According to Julia Sandoval, a family friend, Sola was crossing the street with a walker when a driver turned right and hit her.
Paramedics arrived and then transported Sola to an area hospital. They released her later on the same day. She suffered some injuries including a broken bone, some bruises, and a cut on the right side of her head.
A witness, Matthew Garrison, said that they saw the driver went out of the vehicle and try to help Sola. However, when the driver saw Sola standing, he sped off.
