IRVINE, CA (December 5, 2022) – At least one person died while another sustained injuries after a crash involving three cars on 405 Freeway on Friday morning, December 2.

Authorities received a report of the fatal crash around 5:46 a.m. on the southbound lane of 405 Freeway. However, very little details about the accident have been released.

The details leading to the accident remain unavailable but initial reports revealed that at least one person died at the scene.

Medics took one person to an area hospital in Mission Viejo while another was transported to Orange County Global Medical Center after sustaining injuries. The status of the victims is yet to be released.

Authorities closed off the southbound lane of the Jamboree Road onramp to the freeway but has since been reopened.
