One Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Van Teylingen Drive in Colorado Springs

 
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (January 9, 2024) – The Colorado Springs Police Department confirmed that one person died in a pedestrian accident on Van Teylingen Drive on January 2.
 
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the crash happened at Aspen Leaf Point shortly before 6:30 PM. Based on a report, a vehicle struck the pedestrian in the lanes.
 
As a result, the victim suffered grave injuries in the incident. Emergency crews transported the patient to the hospital, where they later died. Officials did not yet release the deceased’s name, pending kin notification.
 
Crews closed the intersection for about three hours while authorities were at the scene.
 
The driver of the car remained on the scene and speed and alcohol were not factors in the accident.
