Fatal Pedestrian Accident on South Midkiff Road [Midland, TX]

Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Vehicle on South Midkiff Road in Midland

 
MIDLAND, TX (June 23, 2023) – The Midland Police Department confirmed that one person died in a pedestrian accident on South Midkiff Road on June 9.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened in the 900 block of South Midkiff Road around 9:30 PM. Based on a report, the pedestrian who was soliciting money from drivers in the roadway prior to the crash.
 
At the same time, a truck pulling a fifth wheel flatbed trailer was southbound in the inside left turn lane. While attempting to turn left, the vehicle and trailer went onto the center median and struck the pedestrian.
 
As a result, the pedestrian suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials did not yet release the victim’s name, pending kin notification.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
