Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Vehicle on Platte Avenue in Colorado Springs

 
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (November 29, 2023) – The Colorado Springs Police Department confirmed a fatal pedestrian accident on Platte Avenue on November 22.
 
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the crash happened at Academy Boulevard around 6:33 PM. Based on a report, a vehicle struck a pedestrian who was walking near the intersection.
 
As a result, the pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries in the incident. Emergency crews transported the victim to a local hospital, where they later died. Officials did not yet release the deceased’s name, pending kin notification.
 
There was also no word on the involved vehicle.
 
CSPD said eastbound traffic is being diverted north or southbound on Academy, with no traffic from Academy being allowed to access eastbound Platte.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
