Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Grand Parkway South in Houston

 
HOUSTON, TX (May 15, 2023) – The Harris County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that one person died in a pedestrian accident in the 100 block of Grand Parkway South on May 11.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at approximately 11:42 PM. Based on a report, the victim was walking outside of a crosswalk prior to the crash.
 
At the same time, a 2016 BMW was going southbound on the road. Due to unknown reasons, the vehicle hit the pedestrian, projecting the victim into its windshield.
 
As a result, the pedestrian sustained severe injuries and died at the scene.
 
Authorities said the driver stayed at the scene, cooperative with the investigation, and showed no signs of impairment.
 
This case remains open and under investigation by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division. As of now, no other details are available.
