Adams County Deputy Involved in Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Federal Boulevard

 
ADAMS COUNTY, CO (September 25, 2023) – The Adams County Sheriff’s Office responded to a fatal pedestrian accident in the 5800 block of Federal Boulevard on September 13.
 
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the crash happened at 76 Freeway around 3:00 AM. Based on a report, an Adams County deputy was on routine patrol at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, the deputy struck the pedestrian in the lanes.
 
As a result, the victim suffered grave injuries due to impact. The deputy stopped to provide medical aid but emergency crews said the pedestrian died in the incident. Officials did not yet release the victim’s name, pending kin notification.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
