Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Vehicle in Colorado Springs

 
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (March 21, 2023) – Police confirmed that one person died in a pedestrian accident on 25 Freeway on March 16.
 
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the collision happened at South Academy Boulevard shortly before 10:00 PM.
 
Based on a report, the victim was wearing dark-colored clothing at the time of the crash. As he was attempting to cross the roadway outside of a crosswalk where there was no lighting, a vehicle going east on Academy Boulevard struck him.
 
As a result, the victim suffered grave injuries in the incident. Crews transported the victim to the hospital, where he died.
 
Police did not believe alcohol was a factor. However, an investigation into the crash is ongoing.
