One Killed Multi-Vehicle Crash on 15 Freeway in North Las Vegas

 
NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV (May 19, 2023) – The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department confirmed that one died in a multi-vehicle crash on northbound 15 Freeway on May 16.
 
According to the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol, the collision happened just south of Cheyenne Avenue just after 2:30 PM. Based on a report, two white Nissan vans and a black Dodge van were traveling northbound in the far-right travel lane prior to the crash.
 
For unknown reasons, the first white van did not slow down and hit the rear of the second white van. Subsequently, the second van hit the rear of the third van.
 
As a result, the driver of the first van died in the incident. Officials did not yet release his name, pending kin notification.
 
The occupants of the black van were taken to UMC with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the second white van had moderate injuries that did not require hospitalization.
 
At this point, officers continue to investigate the case. In addition, no other details are available.
