Motorcyclist Killed in Crash with Vehicle on 17 Freeway in Phoenix

 
PHOENIX, AZ (April 25, 2023) – The Phoenix Police Department reported a fatal motorcycle crash just west of 17 Freeway on April 20.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the crash happened near Deer Valley Road shortly after 1:02 PM. Based on a report, the motorcycle was traveling west on Deer Valley Road prior to the crash.
 
At the same time, a vehicle was headed east and was trying to turn into the northbound lanes of 26th Avenue. Due to unknown reasons, it hit the motorcycle.
 
As a result, the motorcyclist suffered grave injuries and died in the incident. Officials did not yet release his name, pending kin notification.
 
The car, according to investigators, remained at the scene following the crash.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing.
