18-Year-Old Sonny Thrushel Identified in Fatal Motorcycle Accident in Las Vegas

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (April 25, 2023) – The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department identified 18-year-old Sonny Thrushel as the victim of a fatal motorcycle accident on South Buffalo Drive on April 21.
 
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Badura Avenue around 9:35 PM. Based on a report, Thrushel was driving a 2007 Honda CBR motorcycle southbound on Buffalo Drive at a high rate of speed prior to the crash.
 
At the same time, a 2023 Toyota Camry was traveling northbound and attempting a left turn to westbound Badura. Due to unknown reasons, the Toyota crossed the path of travel of the Honda and the Thrushel collided with the right front portion of the vehicle.
 
As a result, Thrushel suffered grave injuries and died at the scene.
 
The occupants of the Toyota were transported to the hospital by ambulance for their injuries.
 
Officers did not believe impairment was a factor. At this point, they continue to investigate the case.
