One Killed in Motorcycle Accident on Decatur Boulevard in Las Vegas

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (May 2, 2023) – The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department confirmed that one person died in a motorcycle accident on Decatur Boulevard on April 28.
 
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Doe Avenue shortly after 11:00 PM. Based on a report, the victim was riding a 2021 Harley Davidson at a high rate of speed northbound on South Decatur Boulevard prior to the crash.
 
At the same time, a pickup truck was traveling on the same road. As the motorcycle approached Doe Avenue, it hit the pickup from behind.
 
As a result, medical personnel pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene. Officials did not yet release the victim’s name, pending kin notification.
 
The pickup driver, 35-year-old Juan Soroa-Villatoro of Las Vegas, remained at the scene and did not show signs of impairment, police said.
 
At this point, officers continue to investigate the case. In addition, no other details are available.
