Man Dies in Motorcycle Accident on 51st Avenue at McDowell Road in Phoenix

 
PHOENIX, AZ (April 27, 2023) – The Phoenix Police Department confirmed a fatal motorcycle accident on 51st Avenue on April 17.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the crash happened at McDowell Road around 2:00 PM. Based on a report, a man was driving a motorcycle northbound on 51st Avenue prior to the crash.
 
At the same time, a vehicle was traveling southbound. Subsequently, the motorcycle struck the vehicle after it turned left in front of it.
 
As a result, the motorcyclist suffered serious injuries in the incident. Emergency crews transported the victim to the hospital, where he died. Police did not yet release his name, pending notification of next of kin.
 
Police said the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and impairment was not a factor.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing.
