Fatal High-Speed Crash on Durango Drive in Las Vegas

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (April 27, 2023) – The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department confirmed that a 19-year-old driver died in a high-speed crash on Durango Drive on April 20.
 
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Elkhorn Road around 1:30 AM. Based on a report, the driver was traveling at a high rate of speed prior to the crash.
 
Subsequently, he lost control of the Toyota Sequoia, hit a pole, and rolled several times.
 
As a result, the driver died at the scene. Officials did not yet release the victim’s name, pending kin notification.
 
The car’s 21-year-old female passenger was transported to University Medical Center with minor injuries.
 
At this point, officers continue to investigate the case. In addition, no other details are available.
