Pedestrian Struck, Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver in Tucson
TUCSON, AZ (May 2, 2023) – The Tucson Police Department confirmed a fatal hit-and-run pedestrian accident on 6th Avenue on April 13.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the crash happened at 29th Street around 7:15 PM.
Based on a report, the pedestrian was in the roadway at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, a vehicle heading south on 6th Avenue struck the victim and fled the scene.
As a result, the pedestrian suffered grave injuries and died at the scene. Officials did not yet release the deceased’s name, pending kin notification.
Officials described the vehicle as a dark green-colored SUV, possibly a 2001-2005 Toyota Sequoia. In addition, they ask anyone with information on the vehicle to call 88-CRIME.
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing.
