Pedestrian Critical in Hit-and-Run Accident on East Berry Street at Candace Court in Fort Worth

 
FORT WORTH, TX (May 2, 2023) Fort Worth police arrested a driver who left the scene of a pedestrian accident on East Berry Street on April 16.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash happened at Candace Court around 5:30 PM.
 
Based on a report, the driver struck the pedestrian who was at the intersection trying to cross the street at the time of the accident. Subsequently, the suspect fled the scene.
 
As a result, the pedestrian suffered serious injuries. Fire crews and other first responders transported the man to the hospital in critical condition.
 
Officers later found and detained the driver.
 
The investigation is active and ongoing. As of now, no other details are available.
