Hit-and-Run Driver Involved in North Las Vegas Crash on Centennial Parkway

 
NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV (March 20, 2024) – The Las Vegas Police Department confirmed that one person died in a hit-and-run on Centennial Parkway on March 10.
 
According to the Nevada State Police, the collision happened at Bruce Street around 1:30 AM. Based on a report, a 2020 Dodge Challenger was driving westbound on Centennial Parkway at a high rate of speed behind a Hyundai Sonata prior to the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, the Dodge crashed into the back of the Hyundai, causing it to catch fire. Police said the occupants of the Dodge fled the scene on foot.
 
The North Las Vegas Fire Department and medical personnel extinguished the fire and found a body inside the vehicle. As a result, the victim died in the incident. Officials did not yet release the deceased’s identity, pending kin notification.
