DENVER, CO (March 20, 2024) – The Denver Police Department confirmed that a woman died in a pedestrian accident on 19th Street on March 9.
 
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the crash happened at Larimer Street around 12:17 PM. Based on a report, a vehicle struck the victim who was near the intersection at that point. Police said it appeared the woman intentionally stepped into traffic.
 
As a result, the victim suffered grave injuries in the incident. Emergency crews took her to the hospital, where she later died. Officials did not yet release her name, pending kin notification.
 
The driver stayed at the scene of the crash.
