Woman Killed in Car Crash on Highway 171 in Grandview

 
GRANDVIEW, TX (April 27, 2023) – The Johnson County Emergency Management confirmed that one person died in a head-on car crash on Highway 171 on April 26.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at County Road 305 at approximately 10:30 AM.
 
Based on a report, the victim was driving southbound on the road at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, she veered into the northbound lanes and hit an oncoming vehicle.
 
As a result, the victim died in the incident. Officials identified her as a 61-year-old Grandview woman.
 
The driver of the other vehicle was transported to a Fort Worth hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
