BRONTE, TX (February 26, 2024) — 27-year-old Ernest Joe Rose III from Bronte, Texas, and a teen died in a solo-car crash on Saturday, February 17.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, crews responded to FM 3115, just 15 miles north of Miles, Texas at about 2:26 p.m.
 
Reports said Rose III drove a Ford Explorer south on FM 3115. Then he drove off the right side of the road. After that, he tried to take evasive action and steered back into the roadway. That caused the Ford veer into a side skid and roll over.
 
The incident ejected them from the vehicle.
 
Rose III died from the incident together with his 15-year-old passenger’s identity was not released.
 
Both the driver and passenger did not wear seatbelts.
