Motorcyclist Eric Rucker Identified in Fatal Killeen Hit-and-Run on Elms Road

 
KILLEEN, TX (June 19, 2023) – The Killeen Police Department identified Eric Rucker who died in a hit-and-run accident in the 1900 block of East Elms Road on June 11.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at approximately 2:31 AM. Based on a report, Rucker and another motorcyclist were traveling west prior to the crash.
 
Subsequently, they dropped something in the roadway and stopped to retrieve the item. Due to unknown reasons, a passing vehicle struck Rucker.
 
The vehicle left the scene afterwards.
 
As a result, Rucker sustained serious injuries and died at the scene.
 
Police described the vehicle as a smaller gray sedan which may have front end and windshield damage. As of now, they are asking anyone with any information to call the Bell County Crime Stoppers at 264-526-TIPS (8477).
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
