RAINIER, WA (February 15, 2025) — 25-year-old Elise I. De Wilde, of Tigard, and two others were hurt in a crash on Sunday, February 2.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the incident occurred around 4:07 p.m. on Highway 507 near mile marker 20.
 
WSP said De Wilde drove a 2024 Kia Niro northbound on Highway 507. Then she lost control of the vehicle and the Kia slid into the southbound lanes. After that, she collided with a 2024 Ford Explorer driven by 35-year-old Kris M. Hansen, of Centralia.
 
The Kia blocked both directions of the highway. Meanwhile, the Explorer veered off the road and came to rest on an embankment.
 
All three individuals involved—De Wilde, Hansen, and his passenger, 34-year-old Aubrei N. Hansen, of Centralia — sustained injuries. Paramedics arrived and then transported all of them to Providence St. Peter Hospital for treatment.
 
Authorities confirmed that impairment was not a factor in the crash. They closed the road for nearly three hours while crews cleared the scene.
 
The Washington State Patrol continues to investigate the collision.
