LAS VEGAS, NV (February 15, 2025) — A man died in a pedestrian accident on Durango Drive on Wednesday, February 5.
 
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the crash happened at about 5:32 a.m. at Durango Drive and Corbett Street near Tropical Parkway.
 
Authorities reported that a 24-year-old man drove a 2018 Honda Accord northbound on Durango Drive. Then he attempted to avoid the pedestrian, but was unable to prevent the collision.
 
Emergency responders arrived and pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene.
 
Police confirmed that the driver showed no signs of impairment at the time of the crash.
 
This incident marks the 21st traffic-related fatality in the LVMPD’s jurisdiction for 2025.
