Elena Rios Identified in Fatal Forklift Accident at Walmart Distribution Center in Fort Worth

 
MCALLEN, TX (February 28, 2024) – The Fort Worth Fire Department identified Elena Rios who died in a forklift accident in the 15101 block of North Beach Street on February 16.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at a Walmart distribution center. Based on a report, Rios was a 10-year employee for Walmart who was certified to operate forklifts and other heavy machinery.
 
Due to unknown reasons, she was crushed between a forklift and a pallet rack.
 
As a result, Rios suffered grave injuries and died at the scene.
 
As of now, the officers are investigating the crash. In addition, no other details are available.
