Joselin Paogada, Daughter Die in Dallas Pedestrian Accident

 
DALLAS, TX (February 28, 2024) — A 26-year-old woman, Joselin Borjas Paogada, and her young daughter died in a pedestrian accident on Tuesday, February 20.
 
The fatal accident occurred at around 3:50 p.m. in the 8300 block of Spring Valley Road.
 
According to Dallas Police Department, Paogada and her 4-year-old daughter apparently tried to cross Spring Valley Road near Esperanza Road.
 
Dallas Police report the driver of a black Dodge Challenger struck Paogada. Her daughter died at Children’s Medical Center.
 
The driver remained at the scene and told authorities what happened.
 
Police have not reported any violation of law that may have been a factor in the incident. In addition, they said there is no marked pedestrian crosswalk where the mother and child tried to cross.
 
The investigation into the crash is still underway.
