8-Year-Old Trick-or-Treater Injured in Pedestrian Accident on Nassau Avenue Northeast [Tacoma, WA]

Child Struck and Injured by Vehicle on Nassau Avenue Northeast while Trick-or-Treating in Tacoma

 
TACOMA, WA (November 19, 2024) – The Tacoma Police Department confirmed that an eight-year-old trick-or-treater suffered injuries in a pedestrian accident on Nassau Avenue Northeast on October 31.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at Northshore Parkway Northeast around 6:30 PM. Based on a report, the child was trick-or-treating at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, a vehicle hit the victim near the intersection.
 
As a result, the victim suffered minor injuries in the incident.
 
Police issued the driver of the vehicle a ticket.
 
In addition, another trick-or-treater was hit at the intersection of East 59th and Portland Avenue. A vehicle also hit a third victim on East 96th at A Street. Emergency crews rushed the eight-year-old and the 13-year-old to the hospital with serious injuries.
 
TPD said the drivers stayed to talk with the police. Witnesses were also able to provide statements.
