AUSTIN, TX (September 5, 2024) – The Austin Police Department identified 22-year-old Edwin Rene Beltran Rodriguez who died in a pedestrian accident in the 900 block of southbound 35 Freeway on August 11.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at approximately 2:29 AM. Based on a report, an SUV hit Rodriguez in the lanes.
 
As a result, the victim suffered grave injuries and died at the scene.
 
The driver and passenger of the SUV were not hurt in the incident.
