Edgar Camacho Killed, Eduardo Saucedo-Lopez Injured in Crash on CR 1160 [Midland County, TX]

Edgar Camacho Identified in Fatal Semi-Truck Crash on CR 1160 in Midland County

 
MIDLAND COUNTY, TX (February 22, 2024) – Officials identified 24-year-old Edgar Alexis Camacho of Cortez, Colorado who died in a crash on CR 1160 on February 11.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at CR 1232 around 10:27 PM. Based on a report, Camacho was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Impala westbound on CR 1232 before the crash.
 
At the same time, 43-year-old Eduardo Saucedo-Lopez of Chihuahua, Mexico was driving a 2001 International truck southbound on CR 1160. Due to unknown reasons, Camacho disregarded the stop sign at the intersection and struck the trailer of the semi-truck.
 
As a result, Camacho suffered grave injuries and died in the incident.
 
Saucedo-Lopez was taken to Midland Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
 
As of now, the officers are investigating the crash. In addition, no other details are available.
