Dwight Ball Identified in Fatal Lone Star Rally Crash in Galveston

 
GALVESTON, TX (November 9, 2022) – Police identified 39-year-old Dwight Ball of Houston as one of the victims who died in a motorcycle crash during the Lone Star Rally on Broadway Avenue J on November 6.
 
According to the Texas Safety Department, the collision happened at 37th Street.
 
Based on a report, the victim was riding a motorcycle, attending the large weekend-long event in town. As he travelled on Broadway at a high speed, he ran a red light at the intersection and crashed with a Jeep.
 
As a result, the Galveston Police Department said the victim died at the scene.
 
Emergency crews took the Jeep’s driver to an area hospital in unknown condition. Another occupant was transported to a University of Texas Medical Branch hospital in Galveston for treatment.
 
The crash still is under investigation. As of now, no other details are available.
