Nalaka Kavirathna Identified in Fatal Train Crash in Inez

 
INEZ, TX (November 9, 2022) – Police identified Sri Lankan national Nalaka Manoj Silva Kavirathna as the victim who died in a crash on Farm-to-Market Road 444 on November 4.
 
According to the Texas Safety Department, at about midnight the 45-year-old Edna resident was traveling on the road when he stopped on the railroad tracks of FM Road 444. At that time, a train traveling northeast struck the driver’s side of the car.
 
As a result, police said Kavirathna died in the incident.
 
As of now, the crash remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
