Two Injured in Wrong-Way Car Crash on 405 Freeway in Kirkland

 
KIRKLAND, WA (April 20, 2023) – Officers confirmed that a DUI driver was involved in a wrong-way crash on 405 Freeway on April 4.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened just north of Northeast 70th Place at about 2:00 AM.
 
Based on a report, a woman was driving on the wrong way on the freeway prior to the crash. Subsequently, she crashed into another vehicle.
 
As a result, two people suffered injuries in the incident. Emergency crews responded and transported the victims to Harborview Medical Center.
 
The crash also blocked three lanes of the freeway.
 
Troopers later took the wrong-way driver into custody for DUI.
 
At this point, an investigation into the accident is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
