Single Vehicle Involved in Fatal Fiery Car Accident on Highway 101 in Ukiah
UKIAH, CA (April 20, 2023) – Officers confirmed that a driver and his two passengers died in a fiery car accident on Highway 101 on April 4.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened just south of Pomo Lane around 6:10 AM.
Based on a report, the victims were in a 2001 Toyota Echo sedan traveling northbound on the highway prior to the crash. For unknown reasons, the car left the roadway at the intersection of Pomo. At that point, the car collided with a tree and caught fire.
As a result, emergency responders pronounced the car’s male driver and two female passengers dead at the scene. Officials did not yet release their names, pending notification of their families.
The CHP is still investigating the crash. As of now, officers ask anyone with information on the incident to call the Ukiah office of the CHP at 707-467-4420.
