Motorcyclist Draven Rains Avila Identified in Fatal Accident on West Parmer Lane at Ganymede Drive in Austin
AUSTIN, TX (January 3, 2024) – The Austin Police Department identified 25-year-old Draven Rains Avila who died in a motorcycle accident on West Parmer Lane on December 17.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Ganymede Drive. Based on a report, Avila was riding his motorcycle when he collided with a vehicle at the intersection.
As a result, the victim suffered grave injuries in the incident. Austin-Travis County EMS and APD officers responded and pronounced him dead at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Police also said the driver was not impaired.
This is now being investigated as Austin’s 91st fatal crash of 2024.
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
