Maguire Vogel Killed in Motorcycle Accident on Marsha Sharp Freeway [Lubbock, TX]

Motorcyclist Maguire Vogel Identified in Fatal Accident on Marsha Sharp Freeway in Lubbock

 
LUBBOCK, TX (January 3, 2024) – The Lubbock Police Department identified 22-year-old Maguire Vogel who died in a motorcycle accident in the 5300 block of Marsha Sharp Freeway on December 23.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened shortly before 5:00 PM. Based on a report, Vogel and 21-year-old Ceasar Espejo were riding separate motorcycles in the lefthand lane of the freeway.
 
Due to unknown reasons, the two motorcycles collided, causing Vogel to lose control. Subsequently, he struck a guardrail, ejecting him from his motorcycle.
 
As a result, Vogel suffered grave injuries in the incident. He was taken to UMC, where he later died.
Espejo was not hurt in the crash.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
