Douglas Hunt Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Loop 202 in Phoenix

 
PHOENIX, AZ (October 2, 2023) – The Phoenix Police Department identified 34-year-old Douglas Scott Hunt of Mesa who died in an accident on Loop 202 on September 24.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened near 32nd Street shortly before 4:00 AM. Based on a report, the victim was helping a driver who was involved in a hit-and-run accident on 17 Freeway and in another crash on Loop 202.
 
Due to unknown reasons, a vehicle hit him and another Good Samaritan.
 
As a result, Hunt sustained grave injuries in the incident. Crews transported him to the hospital, where he died.
 
DPS said crews took two other men to the hospital with serious injuries. A 5-month-old baby was in stable condition.
 
Authorities said DUI was a possible factor.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
