Dirk Wilson Fatally Injured after Denver Hit-and-Run Accident

 
DENVER, CO (March 20, 2024) — 61-year-old Dirk Wilson died on Friday after being hospitalized after a hit-and-run crash last month.
 
According to Colorado State Police, the crash took place near 84th Avenue and Ralph Lane on February 9.  A vehicle struck Dirk and then fled the scene.
 
Paramedics transported Dirk to the hospital. Dirk’s brother, Dondi, said Dirk suffered a fractured skull and brain trauma. He also had a broken neck, a broken shoulder, a broken arm, and broken ankles. He was also paralyzed, Dondi said.
 
His family said Dirk was homeless and they got notified of his situation on February 21.
 
Dirk passed away on Friday, March 8.
 
Colorado State Police continue to investigate the deadly crash. They ask the public to help them find the suspect. In addition, they described the involved vehicle as a silver Honda sedan with Colorado plates. There were no license plate numbers recovered.
