Diana Shemyakina Involved in Deadly DUI Crash in South Lake Tahoe

 
SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, CA (October 4, 2022) – Officers arrested Diana Shemyakina following a fatal crash on Pioneer Trail on September 11.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Golden Bear Trail shortly before 7:00 PM.
 
Based on a report, a silver Honda CR-V heading northbound on Pioneer crashed and overturned in the lanes. In the end, it landed on its roof in an embankment.
 
As a result, a 34-year-old South Lake Tahoe man riding in the front passenger seat died at the scene. The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office did not yet release his name, pending kin notification.
 
The car driver, 26-year-old Shemyakina of Antelope, suffered major injuries.
 
CHP said Shemyakina showed signs of alcohol intoxication. Subsequently, police arrested her on suspicion of driving under the influence.
 
However, an investigation is still ongoing.
