Derek Lee Ramirez Dies in Bakersfield Hit-and-Run on White Lane

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (December 13, 2022) – 39-year-old Derek Lee Ramirez died following a hit-and-run on White Lane on Friday evening, December 2.

According to the Bakersfield Police Department, the accident which took place on the 3800 block of White Lane involved a mid-2010 gray Subaru WRX sedan. Initial reports stated that the driver of the vehicle ran from the scene before the authorities arrived at the scene.

Ramirez died from the accident. It is unclear if he was pronounced dead at the scene or at the hospital.

The Bakersfield Police Department Major Collision Investigation Team responded and assumed the investigation.

Based on the Bakersfield Police Department Major Collision Investigation Team that took over the investigation, speed was not a factor in the accident. Meanwhile, the involvement of alcohol and drugs are yet to be determined.
