TYLER, TX (February 17, 2023) – Officers identified 60-year-old Denise Kay Brown of Tyler as the victim who died in a pedestrian accident on Loop 323 on February 15.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Erwin Street around 9:45 PM. Based on a report from the Tyler Police Department, Brown was walking in the lanes of Loop 323 prior to the crash.
 
At the same time, a pickup truck was traveling north on the road. As the truck approached the intersection, Brown walked in front of it, causing the vehicle to hit her.
 
As a result, Brown suffered grave injuries and died in the incident.
 
Officers said they did not see any indication of impairment on the driver of the truck.
