David Medrano and Maxton Winkler Killed in Crash on Loop 338 [Ector County, TX]

Maxton Winkler, David Medrano Identified in Fatal Ector County Car Crash

 
ECTOR COUNTY, TX (October 17, 2023) – Officials identified 44-year-old David Medrano and 33-year-old Maxton Winkler of Odessa who died in a crash on Loop 338 on October 10.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened near mile mark 255 at West 81st Street around 1:20 AM. Based on a report, Medrano was driving a 2019 Ford F-250 northbound on Loop 338 at the time of the crash.
 
At the same time, Winkler was traveling southbound on Loop 338. Due to unknown reasons, Medrano went into the southbound lane and crashed into Winkler.
 
As a result, both Medrano and Winkler suffered grave injuries and died at the scene.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
