Darion Hendrick-Escobedo Identified in Fatal San Antonio DUI Crash
SAN ANTONIO, TX (June 1, 2023) – The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office identified 22-year-old Darion Jude Hendrick-Escobedo who died in a wrong-way crash on Highway 90 on May 29.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened just before Highway 211 around 1:15 AM.
Based on a report, 39-year-old Christopher Davila was on the wrong side of the road prior to the crash.
At the same time, Hendrick-Escobedo was driving on the opposite direction. Subsequently, Davila struck the victim’s small car head-on.
As a result, Hendrick-Escobedo sustained severe injuries in the incident. Emergency crews took the victim to the hospital, where he died.
The two children in the back seat of his vehicle only suffered minor injuries.
BCSO evaluated Davila for DWI by BCSO. He is facing multiple charges.
Meanwhile, a friend of Hendrick-Escobedo set up a GoFundMe account to help his family.
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
