Danny Howl Struck and Killed by Vehicle in Midland

 
MIDLAND, TX (July 31, 2024) – The Midland Police Department identified 43-year-old Danny Glen Howl of Midland who died in a pedestrian accident on Dallas Street on July 19.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Florida Avenue around 5:00 PM. Based on a report, Howl was crossing the street at the intersection at the time of the crash.
 
The victim was in the inside lane while another pedestrian was in the outside lane. At the same time, a 19-year-old driver was traveling in a 1994 Chevrolet 1500 eastbound on East Florida Avenue.
 
When a vehicle pulled out in front of the Chevy, the driver made an evasive maneuver into the outside lane to avoid a collision. Subsequently, the driver performed another evasive maneuver back into the inside lane, striking Howl.
 
As a result, the victim suffered grave injuries in the incident. Crews took him to Midland Memorial Hospital, where he later died.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
