Anthony Morrone Killed after Las Vegas Motorcycle Accident
LAS VEGAS, NV (July 31, 2024) — 43-year-old Anthony Edmundo Morrone, of Las Vegas, died in a motorcycle accident on Sunday, July 14.
According to Nevada State Police, the crash occurred shortly after 4:00 p.m. at the on-ramp of southbound Highway 95 at Lake Mead Boulevard.
NSP said Morrone drove a gray 2021 Indian Challenger Motorcycle southbound on Highway 147 to the Highway 95 southbound on-ramp. Then he failed to slow down while negotiating a curve. After that, he lost control and overturned.
The impact ejected Morrone from the motorcycle, and he went into the path of a white 2020 Ford Raptor Pickup moving southbound.
The driver of the Ford tried to avoid Morrone but was unsuccessful.
Morrone suffered fatal injuries and medical officers pronounced him dead at a local area hospital.
The Ford driver stayed on the scene and cooperated with authorities.
The Nevada State Police Highway Patrol -Southern Command continues to investigate the accident.
