Amputee Daniel Oquendo Identified in Little Elm Hit-and-Run
LITTLE ELM, TX (October 30, 2023) – Little Elm police identified 22-year-old Daniel Oquendo who sustained injuries a hit-and-run crash on FM 423 on September 15.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened around 8:50 PM. Based on a report, Oquendo was driving alone along FM 423 with his arm slightly hanging out the driver’s side window.
Due to unknown reasons, a dark-colored sedan crashed into his 2013 Nissan Versa. Subsequently, the Nissan flipped into a guard rail.
As a result, Oquendo sustained serious injuries in the incident. He had to spend weeks in the hospital and his arm had to be amputated.
Police did not yet release any information regarding the hit-and-run driver.
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
