Crystal Schwartz Killed in Pedestrian Accident near Fairchild Air Force Base

 
AIRWAY HEIGHTS, WA (September 24, 2024) — 38-year-old Crystal Schwartz died in a pedestrian accident on Thursday, August 15.
 
According to Washington State Patrol, the accident occurred on Highway 2 near Fairchild Air Force Base at about 9:30 p.m.
 
WSP said Schwartz walked eastbound on Highway 2. Then she suddenly crossed into the westbound lanes. After that, a westbound Toyota Highlander driven by an 18-year-old from Medical Lake struck her.
 
The woman sustained fatal injuries and died following the accident.
 
Meanwhile, both the driver and his passenger were not hurt in the crash.
 
WSP determined the cause of the accident was a pedestrian violation. In addition, they said it is unknown whether drugs or alcohol contributed to the incident.
